Throughout her virtuous career spanning over 25 years as a Kuchipudi exponent, Guru Indira Sreeram Leela has always tried to utilize every avenue and opportunity that came her way to give back to society. By combining artistic talent with community engagement, she has put Kuchipudi at the helm of her community outreach initiatives. By serving in various responsible roles, she continues to do meaningful contributions to the Indian American community. To list a few, Indira Sreeram Leela had the privilege of serving as Cultural Chair:
- For Telangana Development Forum’s 20th Anniversary celebrations at NATS event in Washington DC, in 2011
- On the fundraising Committee for several temples in New York and New Jersey. Kuchipudi Lahari, Kuchipudi Extravaganza, Nrityamruth, Jewels of Kuchipudi, Shankara Eye Foundation, Brahmotsavam celebrations for Balaji Mandir, Thaka Dhi Mi for Ranganatha Temple, Sri Saketha Utsav –JET 2013 are some of her notable fundraiser events.
- For TADGV’s 40th anniversary celebrations in 2013
- At Telangana Development Forum – TDF (All USA meet in NJ) in 2013
- For ATA Convention in 2014
- For All USA Standing Committee – ATA, 2014 – 2016

Guru Indira Sreeram Leela has supported many artists in difficult days when the Covid pandemic hit. She continues to support and sponsor the education of few needy kids in India each year. She also extends her helping hand to many other causes and fundraisers that are close to her heart, all through the year.
