When you arrive to Costa Rica
When you arrive in Costa Rica you need to quickly walk to immigration as it gets very busy sometimes especially during the afternoons. Once you get your bags you will go outside the airport where the group leader’s name will be on a sign and easy to find. You will be escorted to your shuttle and you will leave for Jaco which is around 1 hour and 20 minutes with normal traffic if you do without stopping. On the way you can stop to see the crocodiles and have lunch if you arrive in the daytime. You will then go to Jaco where our staff will meet you to check you in the property and start your amazing vacation with us.
Check-in & meet your VIP concierge
Once your shuttle arrives at Jaco our staff will meet you and check you into your property. You will meet your concierges and they will get you settled into your rooms. After that they will do a full orientation for your group and answer any questions you might have about any part of your vacation. Once completed you can walk around your property and get to know all it has to offer your group. And if you have any questions about anything about the property the concierges will be there to help and assist with anything you need. Then jump in the pool, have a cocktail, turn on some music, or just sit back and relax as your vacation has officially started.

Party like a Rockstar at the best and nicest disco’s in Jaco – Republik Lounge and Orange Pub. Both are a close walk to the Cocal Casino where the biggest party is in Jaco from 7pm to 11pm every night. Both have a/c, super nice VIP Tables around the dance floor, as well as nice bathrooms. Both disco’s offer you VIP Bottle and Table Service as well as the best DJ’s that Costa Rica has to offer. Dj’s play from hip-hip to reggaeton and the vibe in the club will make you want to party all night. This is a “must-go” at least one time during your vacation to see how the locals party which is a sight to see. Another good disco is XTC which is in front of Orange Pub.
The Jaco Part Zone (aka JPZ)
The most popular bar, disco and restaurant zone are all in the middle of Jaco known as the JPZ. In the JPZ you will find everything you need to party from happy hour until late into the night. Eat, drink, watch sports, gamble, or even just “people watching” the JPZ has it all and is an amazing place to enjoy your evening.
In addition to the vibrant nightlife, the JPZ also offers a variety of daytime activities. You can take a stroll along the beach, go surfing, or explore the local shops and markets. There are also plenty of adventure tours available, such as zip-lining, ATV rides, and horseback riding. Whether you’re looking for excitement or relaxation, the JPZ has something for everyone. Just remember to pace yourself so you can enjoy all that this lively street has to offer!

Best Bars in Jaco
Jaco is famous for its nightlife but before the disco’s get busy there are a lot of great bars to hang out at beforehand. From local bars to beach bars Jaco has a little bit for everybody. There are bars with both DJs & bands which is a great place to soak in the Costa Rican Culture while enjoying a drink to two. These bars get going around happy hour & several of them serve Craft Beer from Costa Rica if that is something you wanted to experience.
So after eating dinner cooked by our amazing chefs, ask the concierge which bar(s) you should go to start out your evening or just to have a couple of cocktails before coming back to your property for the night.
Jaco Restaurants
Your best option for meals is with a private chef without fail. However if you want to explore the Jaco Restaurant scene let your concierge know and they will assist on the best choices for your groups depending on what you want to eat and your budget. Most nice sit-down restaurants are fairly expensive but there are a ton of restaurant choices in Jaco. Our favorite high-end restaurant is Lemon Zest which is a little pricey but has a great menu & service.
Costa Rican Restaurants (called Sodas) are best for lunch and usually are buffet style. There are a couple of good ones in Jaco and our favorite is Soda Garabito. You can eat for around $10 per person including a drink. A normal meal at a Soda is a protein (usually fish or chicken) with rice, beans, & a small salad. Jaco Coffee and Ice Cream Shops
As expected you can drink some of the best coffee in Central or South America in Jaco. Opening early in the mornings until early evenings there are coffee shops all over Jaco. Our favorite is Cafetero’s which also serves great Colombian empanadas and the owners (Colombian) are awesome! Ask your concierge where to find the best coffee shops when you arrive.
Believe it or not Jaco has great places for both ice cream and gelato. For the best gelato go to El Barco (Italian owned) in the middle of town as it’s also a great place to sit on the patio and people watch. For ice cream we recommend Costa Rica’s #1 Ice Cream Shop called Pop’s where you can get tons of flavors along with sundae’s and banana splits. Pop’s has a/c so a great place to go to escape the heat.
