She developed a passion for treating patients with mental illness when she saw her cousin suffer from schizophrenia.  Originally from Africa, Dr. Tih saw firsthand what happens to people with schizophrenia when they have no treatment or hospital to take care of them. After completing her education and training, Dr. Tih worked as a nurse in a mental health facility in Los Angeles and saw hope in the eyes of patients when they got the right treatment.  Dr. Tih has a Master of Science in Nursing from National University, which has campuses in San Diego and Los Angeles, California and Kailua, Hawaii. She also has a doctorate degree in nursing practice.
