The Historic Oaklawn Inn
Built during a time of remarkable growth and prosperity, the Oaklawn Inn stands as the last remaining home of the once-grand Oaklawn Stock Farm. This impressive 518-acre estate featured three horse race tracks—two of them enclosed—along with numerous barns, homes, and a towering water system. Remarkably advanced for its time, the entire complex was equipped with electricity and running water as early as 1889, just a few years after the invention of the light bulb.
