Bernard Porter, 94, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at his home.
Bernard was born February 21, 1929 on Mill Creek to the late Henry Stewart and Opal (Jarrell) Porter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Bernard proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Ann Damron Porter; daughter and son in law Wanda Joyce and Kevin Ramey of Fort Gay, WV; granddaughter Cassie Ann Ramey; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 24, 2023 at 2:00PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Workman Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 12:00PM until time of services in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Porter and his family.
