Curtis Gartin, 74, of Louisa, KY passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 surrounded by his family. Curtis was born July 9, 1949 in West Hamlin, WV to the late Everett and Myrtle (Dingess) Gartin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Harrison Nelson; and brothers Douglas Gartin and Phillip Gartin.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife Karen; children Susan Michelle (Paul), Steven Michael, and Kellie Marie; grandchildren Sadie, Matthew, Elizabeth, Anna, Isaiah, Alistair, and Hendrex; and brother Ronald.
Curtis proudly served his country as a combat veteran during the Vietnam conflict. Following his discharge, he went to work for the Elk Run Coal Company.
In keeping with his wishes, Curtis will be cremated.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Gartin and his family.
