Curtis Ray Hanshaw, 66, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Tuesday ,May 10, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV.
Curtis was born December 28, 1949 in Louisa, Kentucky a son of the late Virgil and Cordilla Hammonds Hanshaw. He was a retired carpenter and a United States Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Don Hanshaw, Billy Paul Hanshaw, Dilla Garner, and Nancy Davidson.
Survivors include, two children, Donna (Morris) Goynes of Tempte, Texas; Curtis Hanshaw of Troy, Texas; Brothers, Virgil Edward (Leona) Hanshaw of Ashland, Ky.; David Hanshaw of North Carolina; sisters, Rethal Smith of Columbus, Ohio; Sarah Meyers of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, May17, 2016 at Young Funeral Home Chapel in Louisa, Ky. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, 100 Veterans Memorial Drive, Kentucky.. Visitation will be 10:00 am until time of service on Tuesday at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
