Fred D. Kitchen, 93, passed on March 9th, 2023.
He was born August 19, 1929 in Louisa, KY. Fred graduated from Louisa high School in 1945 as valedictorian of his class. He attended one year at Morehead State University, in eastern KY on a scholarship. Followed by enlistment in the US Army in 1947. His next 20+ years were spent traveling in the military on assignment in Germany & various bases in the US. Fred retired in 1969, as Master Seargent 1st Class, after 20 years in the military. He was stationed at Ft Bliss, El Paso TX, where he spent the remainder of his life. He then pursued several occupations where he found success in the sales field with various companies. Fred loved sports, was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan, enjoyed history, reading & watching old westerns.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bertha Olivia Kitchen. Four Children, Patty Gordon (Mark Miller), Donald Kitchen (Vivian), Susan Zubia & Janie Chaplar. Seven grandchildren, Mark, Sean, Bryan, Dylon,
Sydney, Annie & Skye. And six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the ASPCA, as Dad was a huge animal lover.
