Hersel Lee Brewer, 76, of Junction City, Kansas passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016.
Hersel was born March 8, 1939 at Tick Ridge, Wilsondale, Wayne County West Virginia a son of the late William R. “Bill” and Lillian “Sis” Spaulding Brewer. Hersel was a veteran of the Gulf War and retired from the United States Army in 1994. Hersel was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, William R. “Bill” and Lillian “Sis” Brewer, he was preceded in death by, daughter in law, Gina Brewer.
Survivors include, Chae Beasley and Dora Mae Brewer; daughter, Missy (Jay) Burnside; son, Bill (Valarie) Brewer; siblings, Lula (Eugene) Justice of Kermit, WV.; Darrell (Etta Mae) Brewer of Prichard, WV.; Billy Joe Brewer of Prichard, WV.; Roger (Sally) Brewer of Prichard, WV.; Ava (Carl) Hardwick of Cardington, Ohio; Charles H. (Fontella) Brewer of Fort Gay, WV.; 6 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 5 nieces, 6 nephews and a host of family and friends from his youth.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, March 11, 2016 at Prichard Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Perry officiating. Burial will follow at the Marcum Cemetery, Tick Ridge, Wilsondale, WV..
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Thursday (family at 5:00 PM) March 10, 2016 at Prichard Freewill Baptist Church, Prichard, WV. Young Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
