1917 – 2016
Jack W. Foster 99, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at his home.
He was born January 4, 1917 in Ashland, Kentucky a son of the late Malinda McGlone and Thomas Jones Foster. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Edith Ratliff, Ruth Bartram, Alice Crabtree.; brothers, Ralph Foster and Carl “Pete” Foster.
Jack is survived by sisters, Kathryn Luman of Louisa, Ky.; Sally Miller of Johnstown, PA.; Violet “Bo” Nance (Joe) of Titusville, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews and life long friend Gene “Ooger” Workman.
Special thanks to his caregivers, Thursie Wellman ( his niece) who cared for him 14 years and special thanks to Jerry Jordan, Mary Caudill, Carla Preston, Guy Preston, Libby Frasher whom gave him care and devotion.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Billups Gap Cemetery, Fort Gay, WV..
Visitation will be 6:00 until 9:00 PM Wednesday June 22nd at Young Funeral Home.
