Jimmy L. Ferrell, 68, of Louisa, KY passed away Tuesday April 5, 2016 at the Huntington VA Medical Center following a long illness.
Jimmy was born July 25, 1947 at Louisa, the son of the late Jack G. and Estelene Adams Ferrell. He was a retired Lawrence County School Bus Driver, a United States Army Veteran serving in Viet Nam, and attended the Belles Chapel FWB Church.
Survivors include his loving wife Karen Smith Ferrell, two sons Timothy Ferrell and wife Trena and Michael Ferrell and wife Becky; a sister Patty Preece and husband Dan, four grandchildren Kendra, Allyson, Nicklas, and Liam, a great grandson Hunter, mother-in-law Ruth Kimberling, and a sister-in-law Kathy Massie and husband Bill
Funeral services with military graveside rites will be held on Saturday April 9 at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Gene Hayes, Rev. Ronnie Childers, and Rev. Bobby Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens Louisa, KY.
Friends may visit the family on Friday April 8 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
