Noreta Hamilton, 85, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Noreta was born May 29, 1937 in Louisa, KY to the late Noah and Effie Crum.
Noreta was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisa. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was the center of her world, especially her grandchildren. She loved her community and was an avid fan of the Lawrence County Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats Basketball. Noreta was a cheerleader when she attended Louisa High School. She was an avid Scrabble and Rook player. In her free time, she loved to garden and grow flowers.
Noreta was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Christopher Crum, Jean “Butch” Kelly, James E. Crum and Franklin Crum.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years Donald Hamilton; children Mark A. (Sonnie Martin) Hamilton, Tracey D. (Nancy Pratt) Hamilton, and Holly Hamilton (Estel Larry) Mills; grandchildren Christopher Hamilton, Shanda Hamilton Welch, Shane Hamilton, Adam Swann, and Lindsay Mills Smith; great grandchildren Myla Hamilton, Mason Hamilton, Marlee Hamilton, Dexter Welch, Samantha Welch, Sydney Welch, Thurston Swann, Greer Smith, Rory Smith, and Samuel Smith; sister Frieda Redkey; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
