Robert “Bob” A. Roberts, 86, of Catlettsburg, KY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
He was born January 9, 1937 to the late John Everett and Estia Cleora (Moore) Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine “Jeri” Roberts and several siblings he loved dearly.
Bob retired from International Union of Operating Engineers Local 181 as a crane operator. He loved to be outdoors feeding the squirrels, growing a garden, or just enjoying the sunshine.
Survivors include his daughter Christie (Clyde) McPeek of Catlettsburg, KY; son Charles “Chuck” Roberts of Asheboro, NC; grandson Michael (Elizabeth) McPeek of Catlettsburg, KY; granddaughters Brittney Roberts and Caitlyn Roberts (Alex) of Asheboro, NC; great grandchildren Emily, Sofia, Jackson, and Rylee; sisters Jenny Jenks and Jean Carter of Louisa, KY; brothers Elwood Roberts of Columbus, OH and Bill (Nan) Roberts of Irish Creek; special friends Greg Meeks and Pete Sharp; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tammy Smith officiating.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at from 1:00 PM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Roberts and his family.
