Stephen R. Gilkerson, 62, of Ceredo, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2023.
Steve was born May 1, 1960 in Huntington, WV to the late Brady Herman and Dora Ellen (Frasher) Gilkerson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children Joshua Holbrook Gilkerson and Stephanie Ann Gilkerson; and brother Danny Gilkerson.
Survivors include his granddaughter Jocelyn Holbrook; brothers David Gilkerson, Sonny Gilkerson, and Michael Gilkerson; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Gilkerson Cemetery with Pastor Darin Fetherolf officiating. In lieu of flowers, the damily is requesting expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Gilkerson and his family.
