My name's Michelle Fanto-Chan. I'm a realtor. I've lived in the beautiful Bay Area for about 25 years now. My main area of expertise is in the East Bay real estate market. I've worked all along the 680 corridor and in the La Merinda area. Wherever my clients choose to go, I can go. I love that every day is a different day.
There’re new challenges every day. Sometimes you're working with buyers, sometimes you're working with sellers, and I love working with people and helping them achieve their goals. Being a realtor and being part of the community and bringing the community together is a real important way of connecting with your clients and with the families that you're serving.
My clients are the most important thing. That's number one. And I think that's the way it should be, and that's something that is very important for me. Whatever the question is, whatever the issue is - the needs of the client are the number one thing that I address.
“Michelle, she was positive, enthusiastic - houses were going for 200/250 k over asking. She said, I'm going to get you a house in two months, and she did. She was able to get us the house of our dreams.”
Selling real estate and buying real estate is very stressful, and my job is to make it as stress free as possible, and the only way really to do that is to be with the client. Be available anytime to answer phone calls, to walk them through the process.
“We were first time buyers, so everything was very kind of new and it could have been scary with somebody else, but with Michelle, she made it very easy, very simple. She explained things as we went along. She made us feel really comfortable."
I think in the end, it, for me, it's being able to help someone accomplish their goals and I do enjoy the process. I enjoy the relationships mostly because through the process you are getting to know the people really well. You're talking to them on a daily basis. You're understanding what their family needs are, what they're really trying to accomplish, and having that relationship. A lot of my clients I'm still in touch with for years after, they almost become like family.
