Addiction Resources
The first group we listed in the first post of this series who are ready to help you was the Austin Texas Alcoholics Anonymous management group, Hill Country Intergroup also known as HICA.
Now we are going to look at Addiction Resource, https://addictionresource.com/. While they are not a Texas based resource, the information on alcoholism and addiction is absolutely amazing that I would be remiss if I did not list them in this series. I love their website and the information and research on the site. It is actually a little over-whelming. I’ll try to lead you to the most important information on their site so you have links because sometimes it hard to go back to information you read previously because there is so much.
They do offer Texas and Austin based information here.

Here you will learn about the short and long term effects of alcohol consumption including psychological and neurological effects of alcoholism. Knowing the many drawbacks of alcohol consumption, it’s amazing that so people are addicted. But, most people don’t believe that it will happen to them, especially for most people the effects are so pleasurable at first. It takes time of usage and abuse to take hold.
