Our goal is to provide unique pieces of of handcrafted Native American jewelry. We travel throughout the Southwest in order to attended Native Markets and Pow Wows where we meet artists, most of whom never sell to the dealers in Gallop or Albuquerque. We purchase directly from these artists. Therefore, many pieces are unique in our inventory. We do not have a storefront. The only way to purchase from us is either online or at one of the events listed on our website.
Turquoise comes from many places around the world the quality can vary from high grade “hard” turquoise to a low grade “soft” turquoise. At one time the soft turquoise was discarded as was the small bits or strips of turquoise found in the rock matrix. Now they are both used and even sought after.
The small strips of turquoise found in the natural matrix are called Boulder or Ribbon Turquoise. Royston Ribbon, from The Royston mine in Nevada, is the most famous of the boulder turquoise and the most sought after.
