I view a therapeutic relationship as collaborative – I’m here to work on your behalf – together we can build a framework based on acceptance, respect, and understanding.
My primary area of specialization is individuals and families/couples impacted by trauma;
I provide individual psychotherapy with an attachment-focused lens, integrating a variety of theoretical orientations to accomplish the goals you have determined for our work together. I also really enjoy family and couples counseling, in which I integrate a systems approach, and utilize an integration of Gottman and Emotionally-Focused orientations in working with couples.
I view therapy as a way to release, energize, and give direction to your motivation to change. Through collaboration and mutual trust and respect, we can find opportunities for developing new coping strategies and growth toward a more content and satisfied future.

Families-couples

A family relationship is a relationship involving parents, carers, guardians, grandparents, siblings, etc. Family relationships can also include those between people who have been in each other’s lives for a long time and share an emotional bond.

Clinical supervision and consultation

In addition to psychotherapy services, I also provide clinical supervision for social workers working toward LCSW licensure. Clinical supervision is a vital and valued part of my practice which allows me to integrate my love for teaching, history as a field instructor working with student interns, and my experience in clinical practice.

For many, visiting a therapist’s office can be difficult. Tele-psychotherapy, or clinic therapeutic service using secure tele-communication technologies, makes it possible for any person who is wanting to participate and to do so in the safety of this own home or office.

The Opportunities

Therapy is about more than your feelings. Yes, we will talk about feelings, but therapy is about more than that. You’ll learn to question your negative thoughts and change your behaviors. I may need to encourage you to confront things you’ve been bottling up. This can be challenging, but some amount of discomfort is growth, and we can do this together.
