Therapy Modalities
Are you stuck in patterns, knowing intellectually but seemingly unable to change your responses? I have come to believe that “We Repeat what we don’t repair”.
EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Unlike talk therapy, the insights gain in EMDR therapy result no so much from clinical interpretation, but from the client’s own accelerated intellectual and emotional processes. The net effect is that clients conclude EMDR therapy feeling empowered by the very experiences that once debased them. Their wounds have not just closed, they have transformed. As a natural outcome of the EMDR therapeutic process, the clients’ thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all robust indicators of emotional health and resolution- all without speaking in detail or doing homework in other therapies. EMDR with a trained and skilled clinician can help you move your life forward.
CBT–
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be thought of as a combination of psychotherapy and behavioral therapy. Psychotherapy emphasizes the importance of the personal meaning we place on things and how thinking patterns begin in childhood. Behavioral therapy pays close attention to the relationships between our problems, our behavior and our thoughts. CBT is a good fit for results-oriented individuals and couples who want to actively participate in their treatment and after ‘end of treatment’.It is though an attachment lens that I have developed an integrative treatment philosophy that combines heart and best of known practices.
It is through an ‘Attachment Lens’ (Attachment/Trauma Perspective) that I have developed an integrative treatment philosophy that combines heart and the best of known science.
From a neurobiological perspective, the process of affect regulation, so central to attachment theory and research, links non-verbal and verbal representational domains of the brain. This process facilitates the transfer of implicit-procedural information in the right hemisphere to explicit or declarative systems in the left.
I enjoy helping individuals, couples, and families find their life path and heal their pain… repair ruptures and move your life forward.
